Role and Responsibilities: As the project lead, I was responsible for:
Coordinating the upgrade of the finance enterprise software, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
Upgrading software solutions, custom reports, and databases to the latest versions.
Maintaining data integrity and ensuring continuous operation of critical functions, such as payroll.
Implementing and testing the upgraded system side-by-side with the existing system to minimize disruptions.
Collaborating with the software vendor to ensure all workflows and custom reports were functional and compliant with data privacy regulations, especially regarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Challenges and Solutions:
Maintaining Payroll Operations: One of the primary challenges was ensuring that payroll remained active throughout the upgrade process. To address this, I implemented a phased approach with side-by-side testing and a robust fallback plan to ensure payroll operations were uninterrupted.
Data Integrity and Privacy: Ensuring data integrity and privacy, especially for PII, was another major challenge. I worked closely with the software vendor to validate all workflows and custom reports, ensuring compliance with data privacy standards. Rigorous testing was conducted to verify data accuracy and security.
Integration with Third-Party Software: Maintaining seamless integration with various third-party software was essential. I performed extensive compatibility testing and coordinated with third-party vendors to resolve any integration issues promptly.
